  1. Confirm Your Enrollment

    Confirm your place in this semester's entering class via your applicant status portal.

  2. Create Your NetID and Complete Enrollment Tasks

    After confirming your enrollment, you'll receive instructions for setting up your University NetID and email account. Once your NetID has been created, please begin monitoring your Notre Dame email over the weeks that follow for important next steps related to your enrollment.

  3. Submit Your Final College Transcript

    Please have an official final transcript from your previous institution sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (Attention: Transfer Committee). Approved college credits can be transferred only from official transcripts.

  4. Send Your AP/IB Test Score Reports

    Transfer credit is awarded for select advanced placement exams. Notre Dame. If you have any eligible scores, please request that the College Board or the IB Organization submit official scores to the University. Visit advising.nd.edu for more details. 

  5. Register for On-Campus Housing

    All transfer students must complete a housing application after confirming their enrollment. For instructions and important dates, please visit the Residential Life website. Please note, there are a limited number of rooms available on campus for transfer students and on-campus housing is not guaranteed. 

  6. Complete Your Medical History

    All incoming students, including transfer students, are required to complete a medical history form, including proof of immunizations, and provide proof of health insurance. Please visit the UHS website or call (574) 631-7497 for more information about new student requirements.

  7. For International Students Only: Pre-Arrival Immigration Paperwork (if applicable)

    If you have studied at a college or university in the United States, you must arrange for the release of your SEVIS record from that institution. Notre Dame is unable to issue you a new I-20 or DS-2019 until the record is released. Please see the Questionnaire and Transfer Eligibility Form for instructions to complete this process. 

  8. Admitted Transfer Student Tour (optional)

    Designed exclusively for admitted transfer students and families, this one-hour walking tour of campus is led by a Notre Dame student and highlights the buildings and spaces that create our beautiful campus. Tour guides will answer your questions along the way and share what is special to them about Notre Dame.
